DevOps Engineer

Remote (Global)Full-timePosted recently

About the Role

PRCharter processes thousands of media articles daily — capturing screenshots, running AI analysis, and generating polished reports in real time. We need a DevOps Engineer who can ensure this pipeline runs reliably at scale. You'll own our infrastructure on AWS, Cloudflare, and MongoDB Atlas, building the automation and observability that lets our small team ship with confidence.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frontend (Vite/React) and backend (Node.js/Express) deployments
  • Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure including MongoDB Atlas, AWS ECS, and S3 storage
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for customer-facing services
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform or Pulumi
  • Optimize our media processing pipeline (screenshot capture, AI analysis) for cost and performance
  • Manage secrets, environment configurations, and access controls across environments
  • Collaborate with developers to improve local development experience and deployment workflows
  • Conduct capacity planning and cost optimization for cloud resources

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and serverless architectures
  • Proficiency with Docker, container orchestration, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and backup strategies
  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and CDN configuration
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
  • Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or TypeScript
  • Strong security mindset — experience with access management, secrets rotation, and vulnerability scanning

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas or similar managed database services in production
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare Pages and edge computing
  • Experience with Playwright or Puppeteer for browser automation at scale
  • Background in processing media or high-volume data pipelines
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps tooling

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary ($120K–$160K depending on experience)
  • Equity package with early-stage upside
  • Fully remote with flexible hours — work from anywhere
  • Annual company retreat + quarterly team meetups
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • $2,500 annual learning & conference budget
  • Latest MacBook Pro + home office stipend
  • On-call rotation with generous comp time
