Senior Fullstack Developer

About the Role

PRCharter is a modern SaaS platform that turns raw media coverage into beautiful, data-rich reports. We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to take ownership of major product features — from the interactive report editor to the AI-powered analysis pipeline. You'll work across the entire stack: a React/TypeScript frontend with shadcn/ui, a Node.js/Express backend with MongoDB, and integrations with AI services for content analysis.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement new product features end-to-end (frontend, backend, database)
• Own and improve the report editor — a rich, interactive canvas for building PR coverage reports
• Build and optimize API endpoints for report generation and media processing
• Implement AI-powered features (content summarization, sentiment analysis, key quote extraction) using LLM APIs
• Write clean, well-tested code with strong TypeScript typing throughout the stack
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions, raising the bar for the team
• Optimize frontend performance — bundle size, rendering, and perceived loading speed
• Collaborate directly with the founder on product direction and technical strategy

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional fullstack development experience
• Expert-level React/TypeScript with deep understanding of hooks, state management, and component architecture
• Strong backend experience with Node.js/TypeScript and RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ORMs (Prisma, Drizzle, or raw SQL)
• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui or Radix)
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (AI/LLM services, media APIs, payment providers)
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously

Nice to Have

• Experience with MongoDB, AWS Cognito, or similar backend services
• Background in building rich text editors or canvas-based UIs
• Experience with AI/LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Familiarity with browser automation (Playwright, Puppeteer)
• Experience at an early-stage startup or as a solo/lead developer
• Contributions to open-source projects
