How to Share a PR Coverage Report with Clients

3 min read · Updated July 2026

Direct Sharing

Open Share to... inside the Share menu for direct integrations:

  • LinkedIn — Opens LinkedIn's share dialog
  • Slack — Copies a formatted link + title to paste into a channel
  • Email — Opens your mail client with the link pre-filled
  • WhatsApp — Great for quick client updates
  • Telegram — For teams that live in Telegram
  • X (Twitter) — Share your wins publicly

For PDF delivery, see the Exporting guide.

Before You Share

A quick pre-flight checklist:

  1. Click Present. It plays the report full-screen exactly as your client will see it.
  2. Check the title. It appears in browser tabs and link previews.
  3. Verify branding. Right logos, right colors, right company name.
  4. Scan the summary. The Executive Summary is usually the first thing clients actually read.

Tip: The Share menu carries its own reminder — "PRCharter uses automations & AI and can make mistakes. Review before sharing." Worth taking literally.

Tracking Engagement

After sharing, turn on "Email me when someone views the report" in the Share dialog, or check the report's Analytics page any time — see the "How to Know if a Client Viewed Your Report" guide for the full picture.

If a report has zero views a few days after sharing, that's your cue to send a gentle reminder.
